Wintertime is here, and with the chilliest season comes big cups of hot cocoa, layers upon layers of cozy blankets - and with some luck, a peaceful snow day (or two!).
Read on for some of our favorite winter 2019/2020 trends and how to apply them.
Big, Fluffy Coats
While you might first imagine a little baby bundled up in a big, fuzzy coat during the wintertime, the fluffy comfort of big cozy jackets has been all over the fashion runways for winter 2019 and 2020! From big faux fur styles, to the cozy “teddy bear” coat that feels like a great big hug, fashion and comfort are finally colliding this wintertime. How wonderful is that?!
Winter White
If you’ve been wondering, YES, you absolutely can wear white after Labor Day. Pops of winter white feel as fresh as fallen snow when paired with the more expected color palette of the season (black, brown, gray). Whether it’s a pair of booties, statement coat, or fuzzy scarf, there are truly endless ways to build winter white into your wardrobe this year.
Cushiony Headbands
The fashion world took a cue from schoolgirl style this year and brought back an elevated version of an 80s favorite - thick, cushioned headbands! The latest styles are made from luxe-feeling materials, like velvet or silk, and have sweet embellishments, like faux pearls, sequins or rhinestones. Thankfully, they work just as well with fancy outfits as they do with your coziest loungewear looks.
Teeny Tiny Handbags
While this isn’t exactly the most practical trend we’ve seen on the runways for fall/winter 2019, it’s certainly one of the cutest. Street style stars and models from major fashion houses alike have been seen toting these teeny tiny handbags everywhere, though nobody can be too sure what actually fits inside them!
Fuzzy Fleece and Sherpa
We’ve always known the benefits of this comfy-cozy material, but lucky for us, fuzzy fleece and sherpa styles have been super popular among the fashion crowd lately! They’re perfectly warm and cozy for when the temperatures dip, and are extremely comfortable to wear, too. Whether you opt for a zip up jacket in a bright color block or animal print, or a fun pair of Fuzzy Babba slipper socks (*wink wink*), kick back and relax with a smile knowing you can be both snuggly and stylish this season!
